My new laundry sorter

My new laundry sorter

This is my wonderful new laundry sorter.  I had pined for this laundry sorter for about 9 months, and I finally ordered it.  Everyone says how nice it is to have our laundry room in such an accessible place, on the main floor.  While that is true, our small laundry room had no place for the mounds of dirty laundry that we accumulate.  We have a laundry chute, but when I open the cabinet where the clothes collect from the chute, an avalanche of dirty clothes engulfes me.  So this laundry sorter is a lifesaver!  I ordered it from www.walmart.com, and had it delivered Site to Store.  Now, I can take the laundry from the laundry cabinet every day or so and put them into the laundry sorter, which rolls neatly into this closet.  Then, I can do a load whenever a section of the sorter is full.  Or I can wait until laundry day, and Keith won’t have to climb over the mountains of stinky socks and dirty underwear in order to get out the door on his way to school.

Yesterday was laundry day, but it was also the first day of the NCAA mens college basketball tournament.  Stryker filled out a bracket for the 4th consecutive year.  This year, he had some real thoughts.  His favorites include Duke, Wisconsin, and Missouri.  Several times when I was reading the bracket out loud to him, asking him which team would win, before he answered he wanted to know, “Which team does Daddy like?”  He had high hopes for #14 seeded Sam Houston, which he predicted would make it to the Elite Eight, but they were beat today in the first round by Baylor.  His final four is #4 Wisconsin, #1 Duke, #5 Michigan State, and #13 Murray State (who upset Vanderbilt yesterday!), with Wisconsin beating Michigan State in the championship.

The way things are going, Styker’s bracket is probably going to beat mine.
